Songwriting 101

All instrumentals, vocalists, and music lovers are invited to this in-depth and organic look at the process of songwriting in today's modern age of music production. The course will look at the various methods of songwriting using analysis, listening, and performance of songs. We will explore the process of songwriting from the germination of ideas through the recording process. Each of the six class sessions will include discussion of selected songs based on their form/structure. These songs will vary in genre, mood, groove and lyrical content.

Music manuscript notebook, regular note book, binder, pen, pencils.
