This course is for anyone wanting to learn how to use acrylic paint. We will discuss brush basics, how to transitionally and directionally shade, how and why we layer paint, as well as techniques on how to create specific topical objects. Students will learn how to create a non-objective, landscape, and still life.

 Materials needed: Three 11 X 14 canvases (cost effective to get a multipack; can be boards/panels or stretched canvas), mixed-media sketchbook any size, acrylic paint multiple colors (can be tubes/bottles), paint brush pack (different sizes and shapes--round, flat, etc.), paint kit, pencil, cup of water, paper towels, palette (paper plate or food container lid works well)
