The course on beginning guitar is for those who have never played the guitar or have played previously but wish to refresh their playing skills.
Course topics include:
Chord development; basic fingerpicking skills and right-hand strumming techniques; chord progression memorization; reading tab and chord charts, and basic guitar maintenance. Emphasis will be on developing a strong foundational technique in multiple areas of guitar performance. In addition, you will learn the best way to teach yourself to learn and move forward on your own.
Materials required: Guitar, picks, extra strings, a guitar tuner (iphone apps work), and a notebook and pencil.
