Painting with Acrylics 2: Concentration on Surface Design and Texture
You will use your knowledge from Intro to Acrylic Painting to concentrate on specific texture and surface-design techniques. Examples include folds in fabric, hair, fur, glass, bubbles, ocean waves, etc. Each week we will focus on a new item.
Students need to provide their own materials.

1. A mixed media sketchbook 9 X 12 or larger
2. Acrylic paints in various colors
3. Brushes (variety-big, small, flat, round, fan) and a palette knife
4. A thickening medium if not using thick-bodied acrylic paints
5. A cup, palette, and paper towels
