This course will explore the foods, wines, history, and folklore of the twenty regions of Italy as students are immersed in fictitiously owning a home, going shopping, eating dinner, and traveling by plane, boat, train, bus, and riding their Vespa throughout Italy. This course is for new Italian speakers who will converse with one another, practice reading, and get immediate feedback on their success and areas needing improvement from the teacher, as they learn to speak basic Italian. Students will learn to travel off the beaten path from Alpine valleys to the Adriatic beaches, from the hills of Tuscany to the gondolas of Venice. The 2026 Winter Olympics are coming to Italy! This course will help you plan your trip!
